This is the first time I've cut every single fookin part from all the runners and sprayed them individually. And it's a blardy headache keeping tabs on the 300+ parts and remembering which are which. Hopefully I don't end up losing any parts when I start assembling the damn thing later during the week. The only thing left are the weapons... which are still untouched.

Very little progress this weekend. Almost nil. But I did find some time to do some handpainting on the gold accents on the headgear as well as some black panel linings on the emblems. At first I was thinking of just tacking on the included foil decals for the headgear, but decided to try painting them instead. And I'm pretty glad I decided to do so. Painting it gives a nicer 3D look instead of the printed look. Anyways, hopefully I can find more time next weekend to get more done. Janeh.

Body is tired as heck. But mind is totally at peace. Very productive weekend.
I have some new tools this time. And this is my first attempt at using primer (50 bucks a can... daylight robbery... damn u TAMIYA!!!). Empty gunmetal can just for show... hahaha...
Lessons learnt while building aile was useful.
But the rain on Sat nite screwed things up. Humidity level shot through the roof and the paint turned out dull as heck. Sunday was spent fixing the finish.
Gold turned out ok. But wish it was more shiny.
Overall... about 4 runners were completed. Diehard gunpla otakus' should know what I'm working on... hahaha... ^_^

When the Mitsubishi Triton was first launched here, I went like "WOW!" over the way it looked. And having a colleague who's kind enough to giv me a ride in it every once in a while made me appreciate it even more. Of late, I'm been wondering why I'm getting more and more attracted to the interior of the Triton... and not being able to figure out the reason is beginning to bug me.
But I think, after finally sitting in the front passenger seat of the pickup, I have finally managed to pinpoint the explaination to this scenario...

It started off as an innocent curiousity... but I have to admit... I'm now hopeless hooked onto gunplas. It could be a combination of DIY madness and the pride in owning something you built yourself. But it's one heck of a time sucking hobby... and it took me almost a month just to finish my last MG gunpla.
I'm currently in a sort of cooling off period until my blood starts boiling again to work on another new project. And during this time, I found another thing related to gunplas which caught my fancy. Actually... it's a bunch of frogs on telly.
Say hello to the Keroro Platoon... ^_^ I'm sorta a late comer to the Keroro Gunso series, but damn... I lov it to bits. Do remember to watch it in it's original Japanese language, or you'll be missing out on a lot of the madness the Japanese seiyus put into their performance. And come Saturdays and Sundays... I'll be glued for hours watching the antics of these frogs on Animax. A real high blood pressure reliever... hahaha... Anyways, last weekend, CL and I were doing some shopping at QBM when she asked me, "Let's go to Robot Master. I've got some items I need to get." I went like... "Eh? Uh... ok." I'm kinda suprised with the sudden interest... but I played along. So, when we arrived at the shop, she went straight to the section where they were stocking up on the Keroro-plas. She picked up two boxes (I think she already knew what she wanted) and made prompt payment. When we got home late during the evening, CL borrowed my flathead pliers and started working on the first box. I could see that it was a Keroro Musha.
After about half and hour of assembly, I could see Keroro taking shape on the living hall table. I picked it up and started playing around with it. She asked me, "Cute eh?" I replied, "Hahaha... yeah."
Then she told me, "It's yours. Consider it an early birthday present." "You can take your time to assemble the other box... it's yours too."
This has gotta be one of the nicest suprises I had in a long time... ^_^ **hugz**
