F1 Singapore Night GP

This blog has been viewed by 135 visitor(s) I haven't watch any F1 races for over a year. Why? Coz I think the FIA has slapped way too many restrictions on the sport, making the teams look like tight-assed eunuchs driving around in FisherPrice go-carts. But I had to catch the Singapore GP last night. Why? Coz it's the first ever NIGHT GP for cripes sake. Add narrow, bumpy Singaporean roads into the equation... and you should have one heck of a crazy race. Heck... it was like a mini Monaco grand prix... woot. And I wasn't dissapointed. Sparks (literally) flying at every corner, crashes applenty, debris everywhere. You could even spot a stray teh peng plastic bag on the track if you look hard enough. And the highlight of the night?
Zoom... zoom... opocot???
Mak oi... koteh minyak ni dah jem... takbleh keluar pulak... tengah jimak kot... Massa flying off the pitlane with the bigass fuel line shlong and taking one of the team technicians with him (hope the dude is ok... he was stretched off in a neck brace). Seeing the rest of the teams cheering the Ferarri technicians on as they did the 100m sprint to reclaim the severed fuel line was an added bonus. It was one of those "WTF" moments which makes you remember why F1 was once such a cool sport. Anyways, 2 thumbs up for the first ever Singapore GP. Who needs Sepang when real roads are applenty which makes for fantastic street races. The only down side of the race was seeing F1's most hated driver, Alonso, standing on the winners podium in first place. Pif... u were lucky circumstances were on your side... tat's all. "If you were in a spaceship looking down on this track, you'd be impressed no matter what planet you come from." leave me a message
